As a leader in the purchase of clearance wines in the south of France, we maintain a close relationship with winegrowers.
This is our core business; the bulk of our activity is the purchase of end-of-batch wines from winegrowers, cooperative wineries, and wine merchants. It's an exciting field in which our expertise is required; we don't buy wine like we buy pasta!
Every year, we buy back nearly a million bottles, mainly wines from Languedoc, Provence, the Rhône Valley, the Southwest, and Bordeaux. Of course, we also buy back wine in bulk or by the bottle.
Indeed, according to statistics, every company with stock requires an overproduction of 5% to 10%.
To what extent should you destock part of your wine production:
- Switching to the new vintage: Your new vintage is ready, and your customers have a greater interest in purchasing the new one than in the remainder of the old one.
- Overstock: To maintain inventory and avoid running out, you've decided to produce slightly more than necessary.
- Order cancellation by a French or foreign customer: We also accept returns of NF bottles, without a CRD. Upon collection of the goods, you will issue us a DSA. We also have a stock of labels with legal notices, which we apply to comply with French market standards.
- Label change: You have a new label with new features and you are clearing out the remaining stock of the old one.
- Discontinuation of the product line.
- Change of brand/owner.
All products must "pass" the tasting test, meaning they must be fair and marketable. A sample is therefore requested, necessary in order to issue a repurchase offer.
Since adaptability is of course essential, we are occasionally required to offer bulk or single-serve batches.
